What is the difference between lt1 lt2 and ltz

What you may not have decided on is the trim level of the vehicle — because really, what do trim levels mean? And what differentiates the 1LT from the 2LT? To help you get you started on the search for your perfect car, I decided to do some research and write a quick guide to vehicle trim levels, specifically those used by Chevrolet.

A Trim Level is essentially one version of a specific vehicle model with a certain levels of options included when you order the vehicle. Each trim level has a different price point. Most car manufacturers have their own unique way of naming their trim levels. For more on trim levels, check out the Wikipedia article here.

Note: When a vehicle has been purchased, there are additional add-ons and accessories that are available for example, a spoiler, splash guards, etc. These options would be ordered from, and installed by the dealership. LS is the base model of the vehicle. This is your no-frills option, and has the lowest price point. LT is the next level up — contains more options than the base model.

Mid price point. LTZ is the next and usually the highest level up. With this trim level, you are getting most if not all of the options the model has to offer. This trim model remains true to its nomenclature and offers the user a very sophisticated look and outstanding specs. The interior design of these trucks is a class apart. The superior HD audio system, back-up cams, and other features make this trim level a fan favorite. Additional this trim level comes with upgraded power and engine strengths.

The exterior of the vehicle is also markedly different as the wheels are larger than the LT trim models. However, a drawback of this exceptional automobile is its market price.

Due to additional features like a sunroof, LED taillamps and fog lamps, chrome finished handles, etc. Although both share several similarities in terms of their exterior built, there are significant differences in the specs and features offered by each trim level.

However, this cost reduction is coupled with a compromise on certain important features. Recommended Posts. Posted February 17, Hi all. Looking at new Silverado's. I can't seem to find anywhere online, or in the brochure, where it tells specifically what the differences are between a 1LT truck and a 2LT.

One Youtube video seemed to suggest that the 2LT means Z71, but that does not seem to be the case either. I am pretty savvy at internet searches and I can't seem to find a thing that definitively answers the question. A few people have suggested that the 2LT has buckets, console, heated seats, etc. This is just crazy. I asked my Chevy salesperson, even emailed him the link of the loaded 1LT and he replied that the 2LT has the heated seats and console.

Clearly he didn't read my email Anyway, I sent him the link a 2nd time with the loaded 1LT and this time rather than looking in to it further, he simply just never answered me back Guess that was the easy way out.

Surely "someone" knows the real answer here. I would like console, buckets, and heated seats, but maybe there are other features that I would like on 2LT so it would be awesome to know what they are. Or if you can option a 1LT just like a 2LT then why would they have both? If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thank in advance! Link to post Share on other sites.
