His view enables someone to experience the full depth of their character. He is asking us to consider our existing values, as well as all other possibilities.       All we have to do is figure out what belief and faith really are and then we can apply that lesson to our lives. You can go to a dictionary to look up belief if you like. So our beliefs are things that we are thoroughly convinced of. Usually but not always they are ideas, concepts that we gather through acquiring information and experience. Because of that, our beliefs can change over time as we gain more knowledge and experience more things throughout our lives.Again, you can go to a dictionary and look up the meaning of faith. Faith includes our beliefs, but it is bigger than that. Faith requires action. James said it this way. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James says that unless faith produces action is in fact dead, or not faith at all.As a side note, some people get confused and turned around on this point and try to do good things to generate faith. He said our faith, if it is real and alive, will naturally move us to do good things. The last part of that whole faith equation is confidence. So now you can see how belief and faith are interrelated. The difference between the two is subtle.Read Hebrews, Chapter 11, and you will get insight into how the heroes of faith in the Old Testament overcame tremendous obstacles and severe difficulties through their faith. They served a living God who helped them in amazing ways. We too, today, must diligently seek God by reading, believing and simply obeying His Word and having faith that He will reward our diligence. How does God reward those who diligently seek Him?There are many examples throughout the entire Bible. Partaking of divine nature is a phenomenal reward and is not some mystical thing. Divine nature is simply the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control which are listed in Galatians  Another way of describing divine nature is the life of Jesus, which can be manifested in our mortal flesh.In hebrews it says faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. Many people gathered to see his performance. He walked the tightrope across the canyon and back and then asked the audience if they believed he could push a wheelbarrow across the canyon and back.They all shouted yes we believe you can. He proceeded across the canyon and back pushing the wheelbarrow to the loud applause from the crowd.
